ADP’s TotalPay Payment Solution

Direct Deposit

ADP’s Full Service Direct Deposit is an electronic alternative to paper checks. With Full Service Direct Deposit, payroll wages are electronically deposited into employees’ bank accounts, making these funds instantly available. Because no paper checks are issued, employees do not have to stand in long lines to deposit or cash checks during business hours. This convenience increases employee satisfaction and productivity!

ADP’s Full Service Direct Deposit allows employers to save time and cost by eliminating the need to prepare and reconcile paychecks in-house – no more paperwork! And by using ADP as the single vendor, employers can eliminate the hassle of coordinating services with their banks and payroll providers.

By using ADP’s Full Service Direct Deposit, both employers and employees will benefit from the increased safety of electronic transfers, which reduce the risk of stolen or misplaced payroll checks – and the possibility of check fraud.

ADPCheck

Employers can do away with check reconciliation and benefit from a secure payroll document by using ADPChecks to pay their employees who prefer traditional checks. Each ADPCheck is delivered stuffed, sealed, and signed by an ADP officer. Employers have the option of adding a company logo and corporate officer’s signature for a nominal fee. Bank statements are simplified with ADPCheck as well – they reflect only one debit per net payroll instead of one for each individual paycheck.

Employers are not responsible for external check fraud with ADPCheck, because checks are drawn from an ADP account. ADP manages the entire process. Each payroll period, every employee using ADPCheck receives a detailed wage and earnings statement, which answers commonly asked questions about W-4, tax, and benefit accumulations – a convenient, time-saving benefit for everyone. ADP handles all payroll inquiries and issues, eliminating the employer’s hassles of contacting multiple providers.

ADPCheck also provides a monthly report of un-cashed items, so outstanding check issues for employees can be easily resolved. For added convenience and security, the employer’s company is refunded for any un-cashed items older than 180 days.

TotalPay® Card

TotalPay Card is a convenient “paperless payroll” solution that allows employees to have their funds electronically loaded onto their own debit cards, which can be used to pay bills and purchase goods and services wherever debit cards are accepted. The ease and convenience of TotalPay Card benefit every employee – there is no credit approval needed or banking relationship necessary. By using the TotalPay Card, employees get instant access to their wages – no more standing in lines to deposit or cash checks.

For employers, ADP’s TotalPay Card diminishes concerns and worries over traditional paper checks that can be lost, stolen, or altered. By eliminating paper checks and the associated distribution process, security risks – such as check loss and fraud – are significantly reduced.

And, as an employer’s single-source vendor, ADP acts as a one-stop service for reversals, deletions and returns – eliminating the need for multiple-source coordination and reducing administrative tasks.

Another convenience with TotalPay Card: the option of TRANSCHECKSM. TRANSCHECKs are paper checks that employees can use to “spend to the penny” their payroll funds on their TotalPay Cards – and because TRANSCHECKs act like personal checks, they can be used anywhere personal checks are accepted. They even allow for free employee encashment at participating Wal-Mart stores.


TRANSCHECK

TRANSCHECK is a convenient paper check solution for one-time “off-cycle” pays that have not been loaded into the company’s payroll system. Instead, funds for these checks are pre-loaded into an employer’s special account dedicated to TRANSCHECKs, which eliminates the need for local checking accounts for payroll-related transactions, and allows employers central control of payroll funds.

Employees can use TRANSCHECKs to “spend to the penny” their payroll funds on their TotalPay Cards – and because TRANSCHECKs act like personal checks, they can be used anywhere personal checks are accepted. They even allow for free employee encashment at participating Wal-Mart stores.


ADP’s Supplementary Services

Supplementary services such as TotalPay iNet, ADP iPay, and ADP Print Services are designed to complement TotalPay, and allow you to create an end-to-end payroll solution.


TotalPay iNet

TotalPay iNet is accessed via the internet, and allows you to request a stop payment on a single check or a range of checks (up to 50), reverse or delete ADP’s Full Service Direct Deposits, order copies of cashed ADPChecks, and access Uncashed/Refunded Items Report.

ADP iPay

ADP iPay is an online payroll information solution that provides employees with secure instant access to comprehensive salary information via the Internet – whenever, and wherever, it is convenient for them.

Employees can access images of pay and earning statements, W-2 forms, and W-4 forms – all going back up to three years from the time service begins. The W-4 forms can be completed on-line, printed, signed, and given directly to the HR department – eliminating time consuming interactions between employees and Payroll/HR departments.

There is no special hardware or software needed for ADP iPay. Employees login to a secure website to gain access to their information. This convenient, accessible resource helps employees stay organized and informed, saving time and allowing them to concentrate more on work-related tasks.

ADP Print Services

ADP Print Services is an efficient, cost-effective way for employers to manage the printing side of payroll. Employers no longer have to devote time and energy to preparing, monitoring, collating, and distributing each “piece” of payroll. With ADP Print Services, all pay information is printed by ADP – checks, vouchers, advice statements, pension and commission documents, and W-2 and 1099 forms – and delivered to employers via mail or courier. ADP also produces and distributes W-2 information on CD-ROM, for convenient record-keeping.

From the moment employers send ADP information to the time ADP distributes it as printed documents, payroll data is secure. ADP maintains a comprehensive emergency and recovery system for critical business applications. ADP’s full cycle audit trails ensure accuracy and confidentiality. Checks are printed on copy-safe paper with multiple, advanced security features.

With ADP Print Services, employers can level out the peaks and valleys in workloads, improve controls, accountability, and cut equipment costs.
